CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
● Owner of art center in a historic building. Gallery exhibitions rotate monthly highlighting local artists, culture and nature. Studio/classroom facilitates painting and printmaking as well as a variety of classes for 6yrs-Adult. Classes meet State Art Education Standards, classical art making skills and experimental techniques many with cross-curricular activities.
● Creating art using a design template using imagery with reference to personal experience. Developing an appreciation for explorations of past and present artists. Sensitive to the use of non-toxic and archival materials.
● Designed online standards-based art curriculum for K-6 and at-risk 7-12 individual-based learning program. Students review informational websites, create artwork and complete companion writing assignments and projects.
● Directing studies of primarily at-risk High School, teaching a full range of subjects to students in an independent-learning format from a range of cultures and countries including Russian, African-American and South American.
